Converting Cars To Run On Natural Gas

Econversion has been in the automotove industry for 60 years as a division of Empire Coachworks International, LLC. It wasn't until April of 2007 that Empire, having moved into its brand new 88,000 square foot state of the art facility, the largest CNG plant in the USA was acquired by the Vergopia family and renamed, Econversion, LLC. The vision for the new Empire was simple; expand the diversity of products, open greater avenues of distribution and GO GREEN.

At this moment, Econversion has received EPA and CARB approval to convert Lincoln Town Cars, Ford Vans and the Focus, GM, and International Cummings to CNG. The conversion of these vehicles will allow Empire to make expeditious in roads into markets for the Livery Industry, taxi, police and municipal government vehicles and ambulances and cutaway buses. Such vehicles are heavily used twenty four hours per day and produce high amounts of carbon emissions. CNG vehicles produce nearly 95% less carbon emissions and of all the current projects Empire is working on, CNG vehicles are by far the most promising for not only our business but the environment as well.
